Making the choice to start your therapy journey doesn't come easily. It often takes hitting a low point, feeling isolated, or stuck. When you feel like your struggles are inescapable, we can work together to begin the process of untangling these difficulties that seem to all be tied into a mountain size knot. We can begin finding your answer that has been hiding away within you. I believe you already to be capable, yet sometimes we’ve been knocked down so often that we have lost our confidence. If you feel your challenge is too complex and it’s been very difficult to manage all of the moving pieces, I may just be your right therapist.

My experience in mental health spans across 5+ years of schooling and 6+ years of practice in multiple different settings. My clients have said that they have benefited by my ability to help them better understand their mental health and take that information to help them find the solutions and answers within themselves. My training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) has given me the ability to support my clients who are stuck in their process of healing their most traumatic experiences. EMDR helps get to the root of the painful memories in order to put them behind you to prevent the memories from impacting your current state.

As a therapist, I am here to guide you, support you, and provide a mirror for you to learn more about yourself and how to heal in a non-judgmental environment. In addition, I have the ability to relate to my clients' struggles as I have experienced two untimely losses in my immediate family during my childhood and early adulthood. From my experiences, I have learned that the healing process may not be linear, but there is always hope.

As for a little bit about me personally, I grew up in Fort Wayne. I received my Master’s degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis. After moving to Indianapolis for school, I hope to never leave! I am the youngest of six children, and I love nothing more than to spend time with my family and friends. Lastly, I have a very cute kitty named Gibson who will not be able to join us as a therapy cat because of his goofy behaviors!

Feel free to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me if you would like to begin your therapy journey.
