Sometimes building self confidence, setting healthy boundaries, processing through past trauma, creating meaningful relationships, and navigating anxiety and depression can feel overwhelming and oftentimes the process has been described as feeling impossible. You’re not alone. You’re not the only one. You’re not an unfixable mess. When we feel powerless or hopeless to our circumstances, we need those gentle reminders that the part of us that got us to today is still accessible. Feeling heard, safe, accepted, and understood is the foundation on which we will build your therapy journey. Therapy can reinforce and increase your access to the strengths within you. I have had the pleasure of seeing so many lives achieve what was originally believed to be impossible.

Your treatment is tailored to you. Not everyone is the same, therefore your treatment shouldn’t be either. I use many therapy modalities in my work. One of my specialties is Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). EMDR is a wonderful, highly evidence-based, effective therapy that works to clear negative beliefs you may have about yourself, and change them into positive beliefs of your choosing. These negative beliefs could come from your past or present, and using EMDR can clear them away quickly, in a different way than talk therapy. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to learn more about how EMDR could be an effective treatment modality for you. Some other treatment modalities I may utilize during our sessions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I have my Master’s in Counseling from St. Louis University, and am a fully Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My husband and I recently welcomed our first baby! Navigating parenthood has definitely been a wild ride! We live in Indianapolis with our two dogs and I enjoy traveling, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, reading, and listening to podcasts. Recommendations are welcome! I look forward to working with you.
