As a therapist, my desire is to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable to share your feelings. I strongly believe in the power of a therapeutic relationship to assist you on your journey of self-reflection and healing. I enjoy partnering alongside children, adults, and families to help provide education, tools, and personal goals for lasting change.

One of my main focuses and enjoyment is working with children and young adults. Learning to navigate emotions and appropriately express them can be difficult for anyone but especially for kids. Through therapy, you can learn emotional regulation and coping skills to deal with challenges in your life. I have experience working alongside those dealing with relational issues, anger management, anxiety, trauma, and a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns.

I worked for many years as a special education teacher before completing my goal of becoming a therapist.  Working closely with children and families has given me perspective on how mental health can affect not just the individual but the whole family.

I also have experience working with children and young adults in a residential behavioral health facility as a behavior specialist. In 2002, I received my BA in Special Education from Midwestern State University in Texas.  I completed a Master’s in Social Work in 2019 from Indiana University. I am currently a Licensed Social Worker working toward my full clinical license.

I have lived in many different places thanks to a father who was a pastor and a husband in the military.  I have called Indiana home for the past 16 years.  I have been married for 23 years and we have 3 teenage boys.   I enjoy being outdoors whether it is to read a book, enjoy a beach, or go camping with my family.  I look forward to working with you on your journey.
