Charity Rose

Child and Family Therapist

Trauma, behavioral challenges, and mental illness can deeply affect children and their families. The parents/guardians do everything they can and sometimes may end many days feeling helpless and hopeless.

My goal is to help children and families discover their strengths and resilience. I have over ten years working with children and families to support their growth to better cope with and improve negative feelings, family relationships, mental illnesses and challenges, trauma, and behavioral issues. I currently specialize in treatment for:

utilizing Exposure Response Prevention Therapy

utilizing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, behavior and social skills

utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Parental engagement in therapy and treatment is very important to the success of the child. I keep parents informed and involved.

Before working as a private practice therapist, I was in different schools as a therapist and a school social worker. Before getting my Master of Social Work from IUPUI, I worked at a small nonprofit as the Assistant Director working with children and families experiencing poverty on the southeast side of Indianapolis and others experiencing homelessness.

I am married to my wonderful husband, and we have three dogs. We are currently in the process of starting foster care and should have a placement soon! I love to go hiking, watch movies, hang out with friends, and spend time with my dogs. I am always up for trying new activities and different foods.

I can’t wait to work with you and your family!
